Startechtel.com, Inc Policies:
All orders must be canceled within 24 hours of placing the order. If any confirmed order is cancelled after the 24 hour period a five (5) percent cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. Your refund for the original payment amount minus the cancellation fee will be processed and appear in your account within five (5) to seven (7) business days.
We exclusively offer FedEx Ground Shipping for all your purchases with Startechtel.com. We promise speedy delivery, offering FedEx shipping, and getting your orders out the door as fast as possible (usually same day). We primarily ship using FedEx Ground service, however we reserve the right to ship any other standard (or other) method. Business-day standard shipping orders placed by 2:00 pm PST usually ship the same day.
We offer expedited shipping options at standard shipping rates (Express Saver, 2Day, Overnight). For any expedited shipping, all online orders must be placed by 2:00 p.m. PST. We put priority on orders in which customers choose non-discount, expedited shipping, and although we can't guarantee it ships the same day, if placed by 2:00 p.m. PST, these orders should be shipped that day. Almost every order is shipped within 24 hours. There are some exceptions, however, depending on the circumstances and products.
Canadian Shipping Options
We ship Canadian freight by Standard to Canada, rates vary depending on package weight shipping discounts may apply ask your sales rep! Please be advised that you may be required to pay Canadian duties and taxes upon receipt of your purchase. We cannot estimate the amount of these taxes as they are not determined by Startechtel.com and are not paid to Startechtel.com.
Returns for Refund Policies
Startechtel.com, Inc offers 30 days for returns and exchanges on most new and refurbished products (see exception below) in its packaging* within 30 days of receipt. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Anything returned after 30 days of receiving an item will not be eligible for return or exchange.
Reseller Returns: Startechtel.com, Inc offers 14 days for returns and exchanges on most new and refurbished products (see exception below) in its packaging* within 14 days of receipt. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Anything returned after 14 days of receiving an item will not be eligible for return or exchange.
Exception: Power supplies are covered by a 30-day warranty, cordless phones are covered by a 90-day warranty, and voicemail cards/units with hard drives are covered by a 30-day warranty. Nortel Call Pilot and Nortel Flash voicemail equipment is covered under a one year warranty. For more details on our warranties, please see Warranty Information.
All Sales Are Final. No returns will be accepted for all cards, cords, handsets, voicemail cards/units, hard drives, cabinets, key service units (KSU), wall mounts/kits, batteries, power adapters, and cordless phones. We offer limited warranties on all items (learn more in our Warranty Information section).

* Startechtel.com, Inc also reserves the right to refuse any return in which the product is opened or not in its original form, with its original accessories, manuals, instructions, and anything else that came with the original package. Products that are determined to have been damaged by the customer will also be denied for return. Warranty label must be on the returned equipment and cannot have signs of being tampered with. Please make sure the return is in its original form.
Keycode & Software Returns
All sales on any software, keycode or license keys are final.
Shipping Costs for Returns
When shipping an item for return, the customer takes full responsibility for getting the item(s) to us and thus coordinating insurance of such item(s) with the shipping company. Shipping costs to get the item returned is also the responsibility of the customer. Startechtel.com, Inc will not take responsibility for undelivered items or items delivered defective, broken or in any other form other than that of the original shipment. Any shipping costs incurred by the customer are non-refundable.
Credit Card Refunds
Returned items must be stocked and properly processed before refunds are issued to the customer's credit card. Credit card refunds may take up to 30 days to be issued from the day we receive the item(s) in our warehouse, depending on processing constraints.
It is the responsibility of the customer to return all items authorized for return within 30 days time. If the items subject to return are not returned within 30 days of the return authorization, the authorization will be cancelled and thus any items received after the deadline will be refused.
Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA)
Once a RMA has been issued, equipment must be received by Startechtel.com within 10 days of issuance of RMA, or RMA will be void and the shipment will be refused. In the case of advanced replacements, thirty days are allotted to get the original purchased item(s) returned to Startechtel.com. If the equipment is not returned within thirty days the customer is liable for any shipping fees incurred and the retail cost of the item(s) shipped.
Installed Phone System Refunds
New and Like New installed phone systems are NON-refundable.
Startechtel.com, Inc is not responsible for unclaimed equipment left over 30 days after work is completed. We will make every attempt to contact you for returning your equipment.
Any unclaimed items left over 60 days will become property of Startechtel.com, Inc.
Startechtel.com, Inc offers one year warranty** on all Secondary Market* products to receive a replacement or repair. You should contact the manufacturer directly for all other warranty inquiries on regular products.
**Exception: Power supplies are covered by a 30-day warranty, cordless phones are covered by a 90-day warranty, and voicemail cards/units with hard drives are covered by a 30-day warranty. Nortel Call Pilot and Nortel Flash voicemail equipment is covered under a one year warranty. (Specific warranty terms are also noted on customer’s order(s).)
*Secondary market products include all refurbished merchandise and all those not warranted by the manufacturer.
If you received the item damaged or defective or the item becomes defective, you have 7 days from the date of receipt to request an advanced replacement on your merchandise, with a prepaid call tag to ship non-functioning equipment back.
After 14 days of receipt and before the indicated warranty period expires, equipment must be sent back before being replaced. Customer is responsible for the shipping costs to return the defective item to us. We will pay to get the replacement to you (using standard shipping). Replacements will only be sent once the defective equipment is received unless an advanced replacement is authorized.
Equipment must be received by Startechtel.com within 10 days of the RMA issuance, and any items received after 30 days of the issuance will be refused.
Startechtel.com, Inc will only replace phones using ground services. If customers would like to expedite the replacement shipment, they must pay the entire cost of that shipment. All call tags are issued with ground services freight. A valid credit card must be on file to qualify for our 7 day advanced replacement service.
In the case for advanced replacements, customers are allotted 30 days to return the original purchased item(s) to Startechtel.com. If the equipment is not returned within 30 days, the customer is liable for any shipping fees incurred and the retail cost of the item(s) shipped.
*Different warranty rules apply to Phone Systems Category items and Wireless Products
Refurbished PBX Equipment* Warranty
We offer a 1 year warranty on all refurbished PBX phones from our Phone Systems category. This warranty is fully backed by Startechtel.com, Inc. (not the manufacturers of these products)! Ask about our extended warranties!
This means that in the case a refurbished PBX item becomes defective within 1 year of the transaction, Startechtel.com, Inc takes full responsibility to replace or repair these items.** On all defective returns, customer pays for defective item to be shipped back to the proper location for replacement. Defective items must be returned (delivered) to their proper return addresses with the Startechtel.com-issued RMA on the front of the box, before replacements are shipped out (No exceptions). Customer will NOT incur any cost for the standard ground shipping of the replacement item(s) back to the customer.
Refurbished Phone Systems products are fully warranty and backed by Startechtel.com independent of their respective manufacturers. Labor is NOT covered under warranty under any circumstance and therefore is non-refundable.
THE WARRANTY ON YOUR PHONE SYSTEM COVERS ALL NORMAL WEAR AND USAGE. CUSTOMER ERROR AND MISUSE, SUCH AS, SPILLING LIQUID ON PHONES, OR DROPPING PHONES, ARE NOT COVERED. TECHNICIANS NOT APPROVED BY STARTECHTEL.COM WILL VOID WARRANTY. ACTS OF GOD, SUCH AS FLOOD, LIGHTENING, EARTHQUAKE, AND OTHER NATURAL DISASTERS ARE NOT COVERED. NORMAL WEAR AND USAGE WILL BE REPLACED UPON REQUEST. LABOR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND THEREFORE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
**In case of a warranty request, Startechtel.com, Inc will not be responsible beyond the original purchase price of any one item or combination of items. Startechtel.com, Inc has the right to repair, replace or refund defective items sent back by right of warranty and which comply with warranty redemption guidelines. Startechtel.com follows manufacturer or distributor instructions on the returns of out-of-box defective items. As such, defective items are handled in different ways by different distributors and manufacturers depending on the time the item becomes defective and what is wrong with it, etc. Startechtel.com, Inc and all its affiliates and owners disclaim any liability or responsibility for grievances brought against it regarding any warranty remediation. The customer must know that we follow the instructions of the manufacturer or distributor of these items and these warranty specifications and requirements are out of our hands.
Startechtel.com, Inc. also reserves the right to refuse any return in which the product is opened or not in its original form, with its original accessories, manuals, instructions, and anything else that came with the original package. Products that are determined to have been damaged by the customer will also be denied for return/ replacement.
Warranty tag/ serial numbers must be on the returned equipment and cannot have signs of being tampered with. Units with tampered, removed or warranty tags not belonging to Startechtel.com, Inc. will void warranty automatically.
All orders outside the jurisdiction of the United States are non-refundable and non-returnable. All warranties will be honored by Startechtel.com, Inc, however shipping costs to and from customer location are to be paid by the customer and will not be provided by Startechtel.com, Inc.

Technical Support Policies
Startechtel.com offers technical support to its complete phone system customers at a rate $60 per 30 minutes by appointment only. Technical support includes isolated phone and voicemail setup and feature questions. Extensive installation and programming support is charged $150 hourly by appointment only. We offer Corporate and Government credit terms to qualified businesses and governmental entities only. We offer this as a convenience for established entities who need flexibility in their purchasing. We have the right to refuse any entity credit based on our credit risk criteria.
